access to web server

Rich

I installed a new Cisco 806 SOHO router and now we can not
access our web server internally by typing the name, but
we can if we type its IP address. The IP address for the
server is static. We can get to the web site from outside
the office just fine. I realize it is probably a DNS issue
but being fairly inexperienced I can not configure a DNS
record tha works.

Thanks for your help

I presume you're running AD and have named your AD domain the same name as
your Internet domain....find out the IP address of your web server and
create a host record in your internal AD called www that points to that IP
address.

I have done that, but do I need to use the internal
address or outside ip address? Also when I put the name
into the address bar it will send me to the Cisco web
setup tool on the router, instead of forwarding me to the
web page.

Your internal DNS server needs a record that points to the private address
of servers that are behind the same NAT device (Your router)
