Access To System Restore

Hello:
Let's say my system (XP Pro) crashed and would not boot. Is there any wasy
to access system restore in hopes of getting a good copy up and running?

Yes either u can use system restore by loggin in safe mode.
1. restart computer and press F8 key to have options. click on safe mode and
boot.
2. go for system restore and restore to back date it worked fine.

or You can boot ur computer with recovery CD u got and can recover the OS
by installing it again ofcourse if it asks u before installing whether u want
to leave the changes intact to file system. With this if u leave the changes
intact u can have ur all data.
