Access to files on mobile device from a PC

Following advices given me by Jan Yeh now I can access to file
on a PC from an application running on a mobile device (thanks again to Jan !!)
Now I need the Vice-Versa, that is, access to files on mobile device from an
application running on a PC (and written with Visual Studio Net - C#)
I guess that the question is share a directory on mobile device, but I don
know how to do it

You can use the Remote API (RAPI) to manipulate files, registry settings etc
on the device from the desktop. OpenNETCF has a .NET wrapper for the API in
the Communication library -

There is file sharing available for Windows CE.NET 4.2 devices, but my
understanding is that this support is *not* included in PPC 2003. I don't
remember what type of "mobile device" you have. Please give details in your
posts.

OK, we have to be *sure* that it's not PPC, however. If not, you might use
the following keywords, in combination, at msdn.microsoft.com:

smb server "windows ce"

Hi Paul.

Now I have my device connected to the LAN.
If I search the device from my PC with the Computer Search Icon of Windows XP I find
a device with the name WinCe1, that is exactly my device.
If I try to explore WinCe1 I see nothing, because on my device nothing is shared.
How can I share a directory on my mobile device and see it from my PC ?
