access through xp firewall

can someone help me i just installed the xp firewall + upgrade because of the sasser worm but i can't use my msn messenger any more can iget access and use through said firewall if so what do i do

The XP firewall has settings that allow you to open ports. Go to the properties of your Netwrok connection > Click Advanced > and then click Settings at the bottom. You will see ports to check off for MSMSGS. Check them and messenger will work.
