Access Text Box

I have a text box that is linked to a drop down box. It auto fills with what
the person selects from the drop down box. Is there a way to also let someone
add to this text box once it fills in?

You've described a "how", as in how you want to solve some issue/problem (by
letting someone add to an already-filled textbox).

If you'll provide a bit more specific description of why you are doing this,
what business need to are trying to satisfy, the newsgroup readers may be
able to offer alternate "how's".

I am creating a form for social workers to use. We have a list of categories
they use to describe issues from a drop down box. Once they select the issue,
the appropriate treatment for that issue appears. But then they also need to
be able to add because it may only return a basic treatment and they need to
personlize it a little.

This is what is shown now

When I change it below it comes up with a #NAME? error

An alternate approach might be to keep the general (?generic) category of
treatment selected as one thing, but add a new field in your table for any
special customized treatment variations. This would allow you to still
search for all treatments that match the category selected, but could give
you the information you need to come up with sub-categories at some point in
the future.

Good luck!
