Access spell check dialog box

Does anyone know how I can detect whether the Access spellcheck dialog box is showing? I have a routine to add a double space to the end of each sentence in a text box on a form; the routine is activated when the text box loses focus (e.g. moving to the next record). However, when spellchecking, the spell checker often identifies a word with incorrect spelling in the next record before it actually arrives there (because of my "lost focus" two spaces routine being called upon). I would like the lost focus "two spaces" routine to exit immediately if it detects that the spell check dialog box is open. Any help much appreciated.
