I have Access 2003, Win Xp2.
When I am in Report design view, I press a key and it takes about 5 seconds
for the keystroke to appear on the screen. The file is about 3.3mb. This
does not occur all the time, and I opened a larger database (8mb) and it did
not occurred with that one.
Anyone remember the IBM PC? 128k ram, 20 mb hard drive? The slowness I am
experiencing reminds me of when I had large spreadsheets I had to turn the
automatic recalculation feature off because it would recalculate the entire
spreadsheet -- the result was everytime you pressed enter, you had to wait
several seconds before the spreadsheet would finish recalculating.
Could a variation of this be my problem? Though the computer is connected
to a network, the slowness occurs regardless of network connection.
This is driving me nuts.
