Access Security

Several years ago(approx 10) I made an Access DB with what I call
front pages. There use to be a way to ensure the front page would
start automatically when starting the program. This prevented
anyone from getting to the tables themselves. Since it has been a
long time since I have played with this program, I forgot what the
key comb is that you have to hold down to allow the tables to come
up instead of the front pages. Does anyone know or remember how to
get around this security hold. I have to demo this program
tomorrow night and can use some fast help. Thanks for the time.

just press and hold the shift key when you double-click the file name.

Just hold down the Shift key while the database is opening.

It's possible that you disabled the shift key... in that case it's still
possible but a lot more work: you'll need to open some OTHER database and use
VBA code to turn off the BypassShiftKey in the database in question.

John,
Thank you for the info, I knew it had to be something really easy, that's
the type person I am. I did what you said and yes, it still works after all
these years.
Thank you for your time.
