Access Security Lock

I have several mdb files stored on a 'network storage device' which is
available to two computers on the network. All of these files, heretofore,
have been available for use from either computer. Now, all of a sudden when
I attempt to access a file from my laptop computer I get a message "MS
Access cannot open this file. This file is located outside your intranet or
on an untrusted site.". I can then copy the file to drive C on the laptop
but then changes made to the file are not available on the other computer.
Oddly enough, this condition does not exist on the other computer (the files
are accessible from the network storage device). I guess the answer is to
use the other computer. Would appreciate any suggestions! Incidentally, I
upgraded to IE7 on the laptop but not yet on the desktop. That is the only
recent system change and I can't imagine IE7 having anything to do with this
but, who knows what lurks in Microsoft Land?

Hi Dan,
I can't imagine IE7 having anything to do with this....

I can. See the answer that "Granny Spitz" provided here:

However, the more important issue is that you should *never* attempt to
share an entire Access application. The database should be split, with a copy
of the FE (front-end) installed on each user's local hard drive. Please
review this thread for more information:
