I had pretty well locked down my access database. I have a back end and
several front ends for users that worked with linked tables. The network is
too slow. The front ends and the back ends were read only. Now I want to
query the linked tables and place them as stand alone tables when the menu
form opens. Then use those to open the read only forms. Problem is it looks
like I have to loosen the security to allow certain other rights to enable
the form to run the query. Any idea where to start? What rights does a
person need to have a query run that creates a table from a linked table when
you open a form? Do they need administration rights on the new table or
something?
