Access OLE Objects

I have a database created in Access XP with a table
populated with JPEGs linked with MS Photo Editor. The
system was updated to Office 2003 and the .jpg extension
is now associated with the Office Picture Manager. Two
questions:

How do I change the existing table objects to be
associated with the Picture Manager?

When I add new OLE objects to the table, they are
associated with the Picture Manager, but the images are
not displayed in the reports. Interestingly, the images
that were added to the table in Access XP are displayed.
How do I correct this problem? Thanks.

I believe that would read the "Open With" setting that you have in Windows
If so, then find one of your files with that extension, like .JPG, then right click it, and select "Open With"
Then you can pick the app, Picture Manager should be there, to open these docs with, and you can check the box "Always open with..."

Your question sounds similar to mine. I'm using Access
2000 and recently an icon shows on forms rather than the
picture itself. A doubleclick on the icon displays the
picture but I want the picture to show on forms and
reports. Here is my original post:

I have been embedding pictures in a field and displaying
that field on a form using insert PhotoBase Document.
Recently an icon rather than the picture is displayed on
the form. This only happens with the new records; older
records still display the picture. Any idea what my
problem may be? The database is only 122 mb so I don't
think I have exceeded any limits.
