Access MY Docs mounted in USB drive

Help!

I am using Win XP Pro. My HD has failed. I put the disk
into a USB box and can sometimes access it to copy files
to new drive.

The problem is I CAN NOT access ANY of the data in the
user folder called DAVID. This of course is ALL my data
on this HD.

How can I take ownership of this folder when I can't boot
that particular drive up?

You need to boot into a working version of XP, then take ownership of that
folder.
