Access License

I have office 97. I am takinga a computer class at school
adn need to make a database with access. When I click on
it, it tells me it can't find a license on my comp.
required to open it to use.I have reinstalled and still
nothing. Word,Excel, work fine. Tried to find to
reregister the software, but don't know if that is the
problem. I need to get this done for a school project.
