Hello, I have been using XP Home for my laptop for about two years now;
couple months ago I intentionally moved all my mp3 files from "My Music" to
Shared Folders, to make rooms for more spaces I compressed the folder. And
now, I cannot do anything with the folder, everytime I want to delete or move
files I always get:

"Cannot delete <file name>: access is denied"
"Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not
currently in use"

what is happenning to my laptop? how can i fix this, cause' I really need to
remove many MP3s that I don't need anymore to create some spaces.

Thank you in advance.

do you have permissions to delete?
have you taken ownership of the file?
have you tried in safe mode?

I did what you told me to, still not working - i couldnt find the "Use simple
file sharing" check box in the advance settings.

what should i do now?

thx
