WIndows XP Home edition.

PROBLEM:

I created several .txt files on my desktop. after
dragging them to "My Documents" I can no longer open the
files with any text editor or viewer... not even from
Dos prompt. "Access is Denied" is all I get.

I cannot move the files back to the desktop as Access is
denied when I try to do that as well..... I have
confirmed that this is the case when creating the
document in the "My documents" folder and them draggig it
to the desktop.... Same results. File is there, but
unable to be opened.
