Hi,

I've a small home network with 3 PCs - 2 desktop (xp and w2k) and one
notebook (xp). Tried to connect each other via network drive but end up
interesting result. Both the XP notebook and W2K desktop can NOT be
connected to the XP desktop. But the reserve is okay. I used 'net use
......' to establish to drive and got 'Access is denied' It might well be
setting problem in the XP desktop but I couldn't figure out. Can someone
help please.

One of the most frequent causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
article with an open mind.

For more direct help, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):

I would check the firewall also. Also make sure you logon the same username on the both computers.
