Access Help Problem

J

Jay Lane

When in Access/VBA and I want help on a subject I will
position my cursor on
the word and press F1. This works for all subjects in VB,
for example the
words 'Set' or 'Dim', etc. But when I want help on a DOA
object like
'Openrecordset' I get an error. The accompanying error
window informs me:

Microsoft Access can't display Help.
An error occurred. This feature is no longer functioning
properly. Would you
like to repair?

I then follow through with the repair procedure but am
left with a
completely blank help window!

Thanks
Jay

You meant DAO, not DOA?

I use the ObjectBrowser as the Help navigation aid for this. The
ObjectBrowser has a Help button the always seem to take me to right Help
topic.

If you use A2K or AXP, you need to add the DAO Object Library version 3.6
into the References of your Database to use the Browser for DAO Help.
