Access Handles

Is there a way to make sure that all handles Access may have acquired in its
various processes are released when the database is closed?

By design access doing this by itself when you close Access

But it doesn't.
In may cases I have to reboot to make Access let go of all its handles.

what handles you actually mean? could be that your applciation create a one
more instance of access?
