Access & Foxpro ODBC Link - Shared Access Databse

W

Warren Anderson

I have an access d/base that we are using to undertake
reporting from and it has linked tables directly into a
Foxpro database using a ODBC foxprox driver.

This access d/base sits on a server for several users to
use which is fine.

The problem I am having is, the ODBC link is fine for the
creator of the link, but not for any other user. The
exact error message is:

"Could not execute query: could not find linked table.
[Microsoft][odbc foxpro driver] file wages.dbf does not
exist (#173)."

How do I fix this/what is the work around?......help

Where is the ODBC DSN created?
On the server or on the client?

I assume that if the BE is on the server, then the DSN should be too.
But if that failed I would try it the other way.
