Access Default navigation in form not working

I'm using access 2000. I've developed a simple form involving 2 tables.
The forms default navigation is not working. Could anyone help me as
how to fx it.

What does "not working" mean? Do you get a correct "Record n Of n" displayed?
Are the navigation buttons grayed out or normal looking? Does nothing happen or
do you get an error?
