Access db locked when 2007 user opens it

Hi,

We have several users who have been using an Access db 2000 version.
Recently a machine was upgraded to Access 2007. Now whenever the user with
the 2007 is on the db, two of the other users cannot access the db at the
same time. The third user where the db is physically located can access the
db at the same time as the 2007 user. Can anyone help?

The only solution I found for this was to split the database; perhaps there
are other solutions? As an added bonus by splitting my database - it is much
faster now!
