access database jumped in size, but why?

Hi,

I have added more records to my access database over the past
few weeks and noticed that the meg. size of the file is huge
compared to before.

In May 2004, the access file size (windows xp, access 2002)
was about 7 Megs with 200 records of company information.

In August 2004, the access file size now shows 32 Megs, but
there are only 240 records extra.

Why is this, did something go wrong or do I have to change
something ?

Please help.
 
Hi - if you have a question about MS Access, best to post it in an Access
group - this one is for MS Outlook.
