Dear Friends,
I have an Access 97 database which is not working when i
use it in Access 2000. I get an error "Failed to create
empty document". I think it is a DAO problem so i
installed DAO 3.6, that is dao360.dll but it still gives
the same error when i compile and on debugging i get an
error "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\
dao360.dll does not contain debugging information".I can
also see, through debugging, that the dao350.dll file, that
is, the previous version of DAO that is incompatible with
Access 2000, is still being picked up automatically and by
default! Can i set such that dao360.dll is only accepted
by default and not dao350.dll?And what do the errors mean?
I am stuck, Please help.

I'm sorry to say but in my experience, a 97 base will only work on 97 or lower. I have pumped a day or so into a 97 base to try and get it to run on 2000 but all my effort was in vain. Save yourself the heartache, get a copy of office 97.

Have you tried unchecking the DAO reference, closing the
menu & rechecking it again?
