If you are willing to pay a few bucks, DatabaseCreations has a CheckWriter
application ready to run on Access with source code for 129$ for personal
use.
The book "Access 2000 Programming Weekend Crash Course" by Cary Prague
(president of Database Creations) et al published by TDG Books uses the
CheckWriter 2000 database as the main sample database for the whole book.
You may like to get this book and use this sample database and you can learn
how to customise it at the same time.
I am not sure whether this is the same as the commercial CheckWriter
application or not. My guess is that the structure will be similar but the
commercial version is more "polished".
