Thanks Ofer Cohen i really appreciated your reply. anyway, i would like to
take this opportunity to write my question that i might get an answer.

My question is, i have two fields in a query to calculate the difference i
solved this problem by using the "IIF" function. my problem now is to add the
difference result from the 2 fields in a nes field as a running total. please
see example.

onchk offchk on/offchkdiff total hrs.
1106:11 => this is carry forward
figure.
8:59 13:45 4:46 1110:57
8:50 12:57 4:07 1115:04
7:48 9:49 2:01 1117:05

This database require a 24hr hh:mm format calculation. Thank you in advance
for helping me solve this problem.
