Looks like this is a potentially very dangerous glitch.
1. Create a query returning a large number (e.g. SELECT
123123123123+123123123123) and run it.
2. The result will be in the scientific notation. Copy it and paste it into
Excel. Now format the cell as a number to view the result.
3. Go back to Access, make the column holding the result wider (so that
there is a free space to the left of the number) and copy it again.
4. Go to Excel, paste this number into a different cell, format it as a
number and observe - the numbers are quite different!
I think someone in Microsoft ought to get into servious trouble for that.
