In Access 2002, how do I set up to auto create a Backup of my database at a
certain time each day, or how do I do a manual backup. I have seen
occasionally a .BAK file created but don't know why or when this should
happen, any help or advice on the Backup system would be very useful.

Thanks

Keith

Just a thought, it may not be a .BAK file but a backup.mdb that it creates

I do not have access to 'WindowsBackup' as this is a company system and is
not part of the user accessible programs, I am using XP. I notice that
occasionally these 'xxxxxxx_backup.mdb' files are created and would like to
have some control over it, is it possible?

What about Windows Backup? You didn't specify what OS you're running but
you might check under Start | Programs | All Programs | Accessories | System
Tools...

I'm really sad to see that there was no solution posted for this. I know
there are more who would like to know how to code this function. I know it is
possible.
