access any programs

what would cause w2k to allow a user to enter his\her
profile but will not let them access any programs (ie, my
documents ect) without prompting a runtime error and then
making the desktop inactive with a blue screen? the user
then must logoff and then log back on to there account but
the process just starts all over again. this is only
happening to one user out of many that are on this
machine. what is the reason for this or what could be the
fix.

The profile is corrupt. Backup the profile, delete it and
log on as the user. Restore what you can from the backed
up copy.
