access 97 security

hey,

I have built a new access database which will be used by
many users on a shared drive. I actually made a new
workgroup using the instructions on
http://www.jmwild.com/security97.htm
this basically made a new workgroup definition for my
database. The problem I am having is that for this to
work the shortcut has to target ms access, my database,
and the new workgroup file, .
ex:
"D:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" "H:\My
Documents\Kcaa\Test\Secure
Testdb.mdb" /wrkgrp "C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\TEST.MDW"

But since the database is going to be put on a shared
drive, how will the program be able to access
"D:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE
or basically my copy of access. I want it to use the
users copy of ms access anyways.

Please ask If this confusing, and i will try to clarify.

thanks in advance.

If you don't all have Access installed in the same drive location then you
will need to make individual shortcuts per user.

Bad idea to have multiple people in the same file by the way. Do a Google
search on Access split database and you will see lots of information
regarding the topic.
