Access 2007 with Office 2003 Standard

I'm helping someone with a small project that will require the use of
Microsoft Access. They have Office 2003 Standard but want to use Access
2007. I'm trying to convince them to go all the way and buy Office 2007
Professional but if I fail and they insist on 'mixing' up the packages, how
many headaches will they end up having? I'm not having any luck finding any
information on this topic so I'm hoping someone in here as tried this
scenario out.

Thanks.

I'm presently out of the US and have installed just A2007, replacing A2003
in the Office 2003 suite on my laptop, with no evident problems. If I
experience no problems, I may forgo the complete upgrade, as the other apps
in the suite more than fulfill my needs in their respective areas.

That's really good to know. My biggest concern is that there could be VBA
compatibility problems between the VBA in 2007 and that in 2003.

Thanks.

Under XP, probably not. However, Office 2003 and Office 2007 don't co-exist
very well under Vista. Here's an article describing the problem:
http://allenbrowne.com/bug-17.html.

This does not talk specifically about a system where you're using Office
2003 and Access 2007, but if it goes through the re-install each time, the
problems might be the same. At the very least, you should test it under
Vista thoroughly.

Thanks for this info. This definitely presents some issues :-(
