I'm looking for the runtime for Access 2007 databases.
Is it included in Visual Studio Tools for Office 2005 Second Edition as it
is kind of a a succeeding product to the Office Developer Edition?

I don't think there has been any announcement regarding an Access 2007
runtime yet. This is quite normal, the release of the runtime often lags
some way behind the release of the corresponding retail version of Access.

As far as I know, it hasn't been released yet. In the past, the run-time
always seemed to be released about a month after the "full" version of
Access, and I think that trend is going to continue. Remember, even Access
2007 hasn't been officially released yet...

Sorry: forgot to answer the specific question. No, it's not included in VSTO
2005 SE at this point in time. If you check
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...b3-6fd6-4955-b979-e1676db6b3cb&displaylang=en
you'll see it only lists "Application-level add-in projects for five
Microsoft Office 2003 applications (Professional Edition and Standard
Edition): Microsoft Office Excel 2003, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003,
Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, Microsoft Office Visio 2003, and Microsoft
Office Word 2003."

Thanks for your response! I understand that the Access 2007 Runtime is not in
the VSTO 2005 SE... but afaik the Access 2003-Runtime was included in VSTO
2005 First Edition, wasn't it? So does anybody already know in which product
the Access 2007 Runtime will be included?

The latest version of the Access Runtime currently deployed is Access 2003.
The 2003 runtime isn't free (unlike the 2007 runtime will be), so unless you
have a pressing need you might be better off to wait until it's released.
The MS website would be the place to search to determine when the runtime
will be released.

You asked this in a public newsgroup, you'll get the answer in the
newsgroup.
