I'm finishing an application in access 2007.
I tried to install the application on the computer with no access 2007.
It was running well but when I tried to test the reports, they don't open?

What's happen?I can not understand this bug.
What can i do to open the reports in ms accss 2007 runtime?
Thanks for your help.

Did you have any printer installed on that computer?

Access uses the metrics of the printer driver to calculate how to lay out
the reports. If there is no printer (or if there is a fault with the driver
for the default printer), it can't figure it out and the report's don't
open.

Hi Allen,

The printer is installed and I would like to say, in the computer where I
install the access 2007 runtime, also I have installed access 2003 runtime
and the reports works fine.

When I developed the application in access 2007 full version, I didn't have
any problem.

Now, I don't know what can i do, I spend many and many hours to do nohting...

Are you using code to open the reports, perhaps?

If so, is the database trusted? If is it not in a trusted location, nor
digitally signed, the code may not be executed.

If that's not what's going on, I don't know what to suggest.
(I'm not actually using A2007 runtimes until SP1 comes out.)

Hi Allen,
The database is trusted, there is not code to open the reports.
With the full version works fine, witn runtime version, the reports doesn't
work.

The forms open fine, I can add, edit, delete records.
Everything works fine except the reports.

I don't know what i can I do.

I didn't try opening it with the runtime.
Perhaps someone else did.

(As I said, I don't believe A2007 is useable without the service pack.)

It has not been announced yet, but I have seen press reports claiming that
it is being tested.

Hi Allen,
I know you are very experient in access.
Do you think access 2007 is faster than 2003?
Of course I like many features about acces 2007. How ever I read that the
performance is less than 2003.

Thanks

I haven't tried to run any performance tests between the 2 versions. There
are probably too many variables to make a useful comment.

Certainly some things are slower (e.g. design), whereas other things (like
query execution time) should be quite similar.

In general, the new features added to new versions makes them slower than
previous ones, but hardware gets faster and RAM more plentiful so that the
actual feel is often similar. So if you managed to install the old Access
version 2 on a Core Duo, many things would probably seem faster than the
newer versions.
