Hi There,

How do I minimize the ribbons in 2007?

I don't get how MS thinks this is a better UI.

In what way is it an improvement to have a toolbar 6 times bigger than it
needs to be?

Isn't there an auto-hide option? Or better yet how about 'classic toolbar'
scheme?

I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but right now it's just pissing me
off.

TIA,
Josh

I tried this code and it didn't work for some reason:

Application.CommandBars("Waste of Space").Visible = False

No really, Jeff Conrad answered this in a post called:

'Re: Moving to Access 2007' dated 11/27/2006

At least one person is 'impressed' with ribbons.

Just click on one of the ribbion tabs (make it selected)...then double
click....

Thanks guys

I guess I can live with the minimize now that I know where it's hidden. So
much for ribbons being: 'a simpler system optimized for efficiency and
discoverability' as it's touted.

'Classic' toolbars option would have been nice.
