Access 2007 Reports problem with ODBC

I am new to Access 2007. I have not been able to create a report from an
ODBC table using a query as the source. The query runs great. But whenever
I try to create a report, the system asks for the user and password for the
ODBC database then it must go into a loop. No amount of time will result in
a report and I am forced to end the application. Is there some special
setting that needs to be made in Access 2007 for it to work with ODBC tables?
Where could I look to find an answer to this problem? Having worked with
Access 2000 for a long time, I like the new program capabilities even if the
ribbon is driving me nuts.

Thanks for your help!!!

Perhaps our problem is similar to yours. We create a query that works fine it
is using odbc to either Oracle or SQL Server to get the data. Then when we
are working in the report design, if you view the properties, access 2007
queries the server again but without critieria. On a large table, it could
take forever and the user thinks that Access is hung and kills it off. Not
sure why it thinks it needs to query data in the table and then why it does
it without the criteria in the query.

Thank you for the additional information. It gives us an addition place to
look to try and fix the problem. I'll post back if we get it figured out.
