I have 2 tables open and want to see them side by side. In the old
days I woul selet Windows, Tile... According to Help and the
Interactive Access 2003 to 2007 reference guide the equivalent command
is the Switch Windows button on the Ribbon. In the Guide, next to th
Switch Windows button is a Size to Fit Form button. I don't have
either of these on my Ribbon. Strange. Does anyone know why that would
be? Thanks,

If your database is setup to display tabbed windows, then you will NOT see
the "windows" group on the ribbon. (this is because in this mode, ALL forms
are ALWAYS maximized, and you see/use the tabs to change what form you see).

If you "switch" your database into the "old" style with free floating
windows/forms, then you WILL see the windows group on the ribbon.

to change from "tabbed" windows, go:

office button->access options->current database->document window options

[x] overlapping windows <--- choose this option.

You have to exit, and then re-start ms-access.

Now, you will see the group "windows" on the ribbon with the familiar
tile/cascade etc...
