Access 2007 Form "Not Responding"

Hello,

I'm using Access 2007 (SP1 installed) with Windows XP Professional (SP2
installed 1 GB RAM) to test an Access 2003 front-end with Access 2000 format
Tables.

Other than a different look, the application testing of forms, reports and
macros has been going very well. However, when I try to open a paticular form
that has two multi-record sub-forms, the system goes into a "Not Responding"
state and I have to use task manager to "End Task".

There are no "Events" running on any of these three forms. I can open the
two sub-forms on their own without a problem. If I remove the two sub-forms
from the master form, I can open the master form without a hitch. I have also
re-embedded and re-linked one of the sub-forms using Access 2007 and still no
luck. I have run Access 2007 Diagnostic Utilities and no probelsm are
reported.

When I try this same application using Access 2003, the form opens fine and
in less than a second.

I will welcome your thoughts and ideas.

Best Regards & Happy New Year,

Interesting. I have found that some subforms are incredibly slow to
synchronise in Access 2007. Have you tried simply leaving it for a while?
If it's anything like what I've experienced it will get there eventually.
Which is obviously not a solution, but the more information we can get about
a potential issue like this the better.

I've had a few forms do the same thing. Compact and Repair helped a couple
of them. The others had coding from Access2k that 2k7 didn't like.
Best of luck.
