Access 2007 does not convert files correctly.

There is a bug in Access 2007 (On Vista but probably XP as well).
Convert an old (2003) database that has a table with a Default Value set to
Date().
The function will not convert. The table shows data errors.
Even if you build a new table, you will not be able to use the Date()
function.
The Now() function will work.
It looks like the convert routine is trashing the links to the internal
function library.
If you build a new Access 2007 database, the Date() funciton does work; but
who can afford the time to rebuild every old application?

I think that we should get a lawyer and start a class action lawsuit

MS has never taken QUALITY seriously enough with MS Access

I could give a crap about MDB.
MS needs to fix bugs in MS Access or we continue the jihad

It may be the MUCH older "lost references" bug. Open any
module in design view, or open the VBA editor by typing
Ctrl-G. Select Tools... References from the menu. One of the
..DLL files required by Access will probably be marked
MISSING. Uncheck it, recheck it, close and open Access.

If none are MISSING, check any reference; close and open
Access; then uncheck it again. This will force Access to
relink the libraries.

Tony;

same here; I'd be perfectly happy if HALF of your MVPs surrendered and
started supporting / promoting ADP

I OWN THE ACCESS NEWSGROUP BECAUSE YOU SPREAD LIES -- JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE
TOO FAT AND LAZY TO LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE; DOES THAT MAKE MDB THE RIGHT
CHOICE FOR --ANYONE--?

I am 100 times more valuable then you; you friggin $12/hour NooB

Given that you are a great supporter of inaccurate and misleading
and simply factually wrong information, this doesn't surprise.

Microsoft is deprecating ADPs.

That is a fact.

Jet development has been revived in Access 2007 and is once a again
a live platform with future development plans.

ADP has no future unless Microsoft completely changes direction in
the next version of Access.

You don't have to like these facts, but don't think you can get away
with lying about them.
