Access 2007 "attachment" "Data Type" not an option

I'm attempting to add a field to my A2007 database that would allow for
attachments (primarily word). But when i attempt to add the field, i do not
get "Attachments" as an option under the Data Type drop down.

Does your database filename end in .mdb or .accdb? You need the Access 2007
..accdb file format for attachments.

funny you should mention that... right after i posted, i found information
regarding just that... in the process of converting to .accdb
