Access 2003 report

I am trying to create a report with 4 records on a page. Each record is 4.5'
wide and 4" long. I can set it up in design and everything fits, but when I
go to print preview I see that I am getting two records on the top and then
two of the same records beneath the first two. I need four different records
on each page. When I go to setup and say 4 columns in the Number Of Columns
field It tries to put all four records at the top of the report in a straight
line. Can someone help me, please to get 4 records on one page with two
records on the top of the page and two different records on the bottom half
of the page.
Thanks,
Sister Jo

I asked if your detail section was 4" high and you answered "yes, it is 7"
high". Try make it four inches high to see what happens.

I changed the detail section to 4" high as you suggested and I had to erase
the 2 setups I had made for the bottom two records. Now I see the two top
records and nothing more. Remember I need 4 records on a page, not just two.
Actually each record is 3.5" high. That's how I got four of them to show up
in the detail section. If I cut it in half I only get two records, one next
to the other on the top half of the landscaped paper which is 8.5" high and
11" wide.

Sister Jo,

You should have only ONE setup defined for the first of the four positions
you want to print.
Set the height of the detail section to 3.5 inches

Select File: Page Setup
Click on the Columns Tab
Set number of columns to 2
Set column size to wth width of your setup (4.5 inches)
Set Column spacing to .5 inches
Now click on the Margins tab
set the left margin .75
Set the right margin to .75
Click the ok button

Now try printing the report. You can play around with the above settings
until you get things to look the way you want.
