Access 2003 - "Invalid Argument" error message

G

Gwen

I have several queries that have worked fine for years yet everyonce in a
while they absolutely will not run. They are "make table" Queries and I will
get the message that I about to create a new table...It will chug and chug
and chug...one or two dots on the progress indicator then it will display a
message that just says "Invalid Argument". Its frustrating to wait 15 minutes
(some large tables) only to find out the query is going to bomb.

I know the query works fine...Does anyone know what causes this?

Usually it means that there is "bad" data somewhere. For instance, a
field in some record has a null value that you are trying to use in an
expression that cannot handle nulls.
