Access 2003 does not allow a paste into "Search" or binoculars

In Acces 2000, I used to be able to paste into the "search" tool or what can
be referred to as the binoculars. Now that I'm using Access 2003, I can't do
this. Has this functionality just be removed from the program or is there a
setting I can change?
