Access 2003 (Chart within a Report)

R

Ron Kozak

I know that I have a previous post concerning this but
really need help. I have created a report in Access
2003. It consists of a regular report run from query RF
Issues Query. I also have a chart in that same report
run from query RF Chart Query. I have added a date
criteria in the RF Issues Query to select from Beginning
Date to Ending Date. The report also has a control
source to show these dates. The problem that I am having
is that I cannot get the chart to match the report. The
chart displays everything that was ever entered into the
table and the report itself shows the information that is
between the Beginning and End Dates, which is correct. I
even tried adding the same criteria to the RF Chart Query
but got the following error message: The Microsoft Jet
Engine Database does not recognize '[Enter Beginning
Date]' as a valid field name or expression. Is there
anyone out there that can help me fix this issue?

Thanks,
Ron

Provide us with the Row Source property of your chart. I expect that it may
be a crosstab query.
Also, you should abandon parameter prompts in favor of referencing controls
on open forms. This provides much more control and flexibility.
