For the purpose of supporting Access/VBA Apps. developed
in Access 2000 SP3, but running on other machines having
Office 2002, I would like to have both versions installed
on my development machine.

I let everything default when I installed 2000 and as far as
I can tell Office 2000 in entirely contained in the
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office directory tree.

Is it a simple case of installing in another tree? Say
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 2002?

What level becomes the default level via file type
associations?

I'm of the understanding my situation is commonplace,
but a little help from those more experienced would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill Stanton

When you install Access 2002, you must request a custom install, NOT a
typical install, and you will then be offered the option of keeping earlier
versions.

The default with regard to file associations is whatever version you last
used! Annoying, but that's the way it is.

Thanks Brian. Did you mean "last used" or "last installed" regarding
my question about associations?
Thanks again,
Bill
