Access 2000 password

Everytime I open Access 2000 it is asking me for a
username and password. It does this with every database
that I try to open so it must be the program. I never put
any passwords on this so it is strange. I tried removing
office and registry settings but did not help.

It would appear that you (or someone) has implemented Access security
on this or some other database, and that the default SYSTEM.MDW
workgroup file is now requiring you to log on. Security-limited
databases should have their own workgroup file, but someone may have
made a mistake!

Try opening Access (no database, just the program) and select Tools...
Security... Workgroup Administrator. Are you joined to SYSTEM.MDW in
the default Windows\System directory, or to some other .MDW? If it's
some other, select SYSTEM.MDW; if someone's munged SYSTEM.MDW you'll
have to find out who did it and get it restored.
