I'm trying to expression builder to add two fields together. However whlist
it will accept the formulae it does not calculate after the form has been
saved. Is there a reason for this?

Wayne,

The control source was showing the field name. However, that led me to
create the expression from there by clicking on the ... to enter expression
builder - and it now works - thanks. But why hadn't it worked originally?
I'd entered expression builder by selecting the field in form design view and
then right clicking and then selecting expression builder.

The only thing I can think of is that something you clicked on wasn't what
you thought. There have been times I've accidentally clicked Cancel when I
meant to click Ok and didn't realize it until later when the change wasn't
there.

thanks
