Access 2000 error - "You cancelled the previous operation"``

Help please .. am in a panic, made lots of changes to my data base and
suddenly I keep getting the message box "You cancelled the previous
operation" when I try to open almost all of my forms. Can't really do
anything .. I ran the Repair and compact operation, which ran ok, but didn't
help.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Abay

Can you return to a earlier version (i.e., have you kept backups)?

Can you set a breakpoint in the code behind one of the forms that's doing
this and see where/when the canceling is happening?

Good luck

Yes, I did a backup earlier to-day, but have done at least 8 hrs of work
since .. silly me:( Can't image having to re-do all the work, which was for
to-morrow .. am such a newbie that I don't know how to set a break point ..
as I can't get into the forms, don't see how I can do that?

Just realised, I also backed up to my memory key (to bring in to the office
to-morrow), which I forgot, so have lost a couple of hours work instead of 8
hours, whew ... so am going to re-do those hours instead of trying to figure
out the failure .. it is worrying though .. would be nice to know what
caused the problem ..

Many thanks for your reply.

I honestly don't know .. I did so much yesterday, but thanks for the tip,
will check that out if it happens again.
