accept changes to formatted bullets

I have a document which uses various list styles to sequence points.

Changes were made in the sequencing as modifications were made to the list.
The changes appear in the reviewing pane as Fomatted Bullets and Numbering.

I need to accept the change to start with a "clean", new version of the
document and "Accepting the Change" reviewing toolbar button does not clear
the format of the tracked change, as it did with the actual language.

Is there something else I need to do to Accept the change in a list?

Thanks

Thank you for the suggestion.

I had accepted all the changes and turned track changes off. The document
was as I expected.

When I turned track changes on, to begin tracking a new set of changes, the
sequencing changes to the lists made in the prior version of the document
re-appeared.

I appears as though the accept changes was not processed for the list items.

It occurs to me that I should add that I am using Word 2002 in the Windows
XP environment.

That is strange. If you test tracking changes in a new document, then
what happens? Do you see the same thing there?

Stefan, I have not been able to re-create the problem in a new document.

Adding points in existing lists processes as expected with "Track Changes"
on.

I fear that the issue I am experiencing is related to the size of the
document and the number of lists that it contains.

Your document could be corrupt. Try the following to fix it: Display
nonprinting marks by pressing the ¶ button on the Standard toolbar.
Then copy the entire contents, except for the final paragraph mark
(¶), into a new document. See also the section about copying track
changes in the article at
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/trackchanges/HowTrackChangesWorks.html.

For more about document corruption, see
