Accents display incorrectly

I have one outlook user that has a problem using any accents at all in his
text. When he does these accents become distorted

for example "Pro€INVEST" becomes "PRO€INVEST"

This problem is the same whether he uses word or outlook as his default
email editor.

I have tried configuring Outlook Express and I get no prblems using this.
Does anyone have any suggestions please? I tried updating it with SP2 for
office and nothing changed.

Does that happen immediately, or only after the message has been sent?

What encoding is that user using?

Thanks for the advice Pat. I ended up figuring this one out yesterday in the
end and it was directly related to encoding.

I changed the encoding from Western European ISO to Western European Windows
and it resolved the problem. As a default we use Western European ISO and I
can only assume that this problem has arisen from applying SP2 to windows
which we did a couple of weeks ago.
