Accees 2003 dbase web based

My dbase resides on our network drive and I've got users in different
locations throughout the state (but only 5 users outside of my office). The
performance of this dbase is very slow. I did add some code to keep a
connection to an underlying table so it wouldn't need to reconnect to the
backend but it still is slow.

I'm not a programmer but I was wondering if the performance speed would
increase if I converted it to being web based. I'm sure there is more to it
than this but couldn't I use the upsizing wizard to convert it to SQL and use
it web based?

Just wondering if this is a difficult process or if it would be worth it.

yes

you would have much much much better performance by moving it to SQL
Server and then writing a simlpe interface with Dreamweaver

good luck; I hate MDB files; I dont' think that they're an acceptable
performance level for any user anywhere
