Academic or Pro - What are the difference - worth the extra???

I'm eligilbe to use Windows XP Academic version, what are the major
differences between the academic version and XP Pro. Is Pro worth the extra
money? TIA c!
 
The Academic version has licensing differences.
Typically your license to use ends when you are no longer attending that
school.
Otherwise it is the same.
The Academic version is available in Windows XP Pro, I am not sure about
Home availability.
Ask the book store for details.

Also, it seems that an Academic license does not qualify for version
"upgrades." That is to say: The Academic version of XP Pro "may not" qualify
for a Vista Upgrade.
